Taproot to early Pentecostalism

The Apostolic Faith in Portland, Oregon, may provide one of the more interesting links with the 1906 revival in Azusa, California. While that revival was in full swing, Florence Crawford staged an evangelistic outreach to Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. She founded the Apostolic Faith in Portland. Although, initially quite successful, the Apostolic Faith, Portland became somewhat isolated from the rest of the movement and thus preserved some of the ethos of early Pentecostalism.
